MENU PLAN
SAMPLE MENU
Breakfast:

1 bread
1 meat/protein
1 fat

1 slice toast
1 egg
1 tsp. margarine
Snack:


1 fruit
1 bread
1 milk

1 small orange
3 graham crackers/ or 6 saltines
1 cup low fat milk
Lunch:
1 milk
2 vegetables
2 breads
2 meats
2 fats

1 cup low fat milk
½ cup carrot sticks/ ½ cup lettuce
2 slices bread
2 oz. meat
2 tsp mayonnaise

Snack:
1 milk
1 bread
1 cup low fat milk
3 cups popcorn (fat free)
Dinner:
1 milk
2 vegetables
2 breads
3 meats
2 fats

1 cup low fat milk
1 cup broccoli
1 cup noodles, rice or potatoes
3 oz. ground sirloin (broiled)
2 tsp. Margarine

Snack:
1 milk
1 bread
1 fruit
1 cup low fat milk
¾ cup unsweetened cereal
½ small banana

  

 

The following foods can be used 2-3 times a day:

 

decaffeinated  coffee, bouillon or broth, unsweetened gelatin, club soda, vinegar, 

catsup/mustard (1 tbl), cocoa (1 tbls)
